Subject:CINEMA #125 – “Hero Heat II: Who In The Universe Is The Doctor?”

On the first of two shows on our first Double Shot weekend, TC and Kim explore the wonders of time and space with a look at the longest running science fiction series in television history, DOCTOR WHO!

We get into the mythos of the series, TC and Kim play "Doctor Who FAQ", take a look at each of the different incarnations of The Doctor – William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston, and David Tennant – plus some of the outside Doctors – Richard Hurndall, Peter Cushing, Rowan Atkinson – and touch on the villians and the companions as well!

Plus – a voice mail about the love of Doctor Who that regular listener Jonathan Lyttle has, and coverage of this week’s National Amusement’s ATTACK OF THE B MOVIES, and we review the latest two releases from CINEMATIC TITANIC – The Doomsday Machine and The Wasp Woman!

On the second half of this weekend’s S:C Double Shot, we’ll conclude the 2008 edition of Hero Heat with "A Rockin’ Goku Time" – our look at DragonBall!  See you tomorrow, same SC time, same SC Channel!

I want to apologize in advance if I got things a bit mixed up from time to time. I’m a HUGE fan of Doctor Who, but it’s damn near impossible to remember all the facts and squeeze them into a two hour show (well, slightly more than 2 hours).

And I did something i’ve done from the beginning – confused the Sylvester McCoy episode "Battleground" with the final Doctor Who show of the original run, "Survival". Please know when i’m talking about "Battleground" I really mean "Survival" – i’ve always transposed the two titles, and i’ve never quite figured out why…
