Update on S:C and Kim

It's 7:45 PM and I just got home from Mass General Hospital…alone.

Kim was admitted this afternoon at about 5:15 PM. She still has a few contagious welts from the chicken pox, but due to the amount of pain she was in from her stomach region,  they decided that discretion was the best course.

Right now, we're not sure what's going to happen. They had her in a contagious ward when I left to be safe, but were planning to move her to a different ward sometime this evening. She will call me later this evening, or I will see her in the morning and we'll go from there.

Right now, it looks as though they will be running some tests in the next couple days  to try and determine where the pain is coming from. The doctor in the ER, a very nice man whose name I didn't catch, but who reminded me of singer Sam Harris in his looks, was very concerned. He spent about 20 minutes with us, catching up on the history of this problem, and he was very concerned that this has been a recurring issue over the past 14 months or so, and that nothing has been found as yet. The pain she's having appears to be mostly in the upper right of her abdomen,  and I think they've ruled out the appendix as the cause of the problem, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, we'll know more tomorrow, and obviously, Subject:CINEMA is on hiatus until she can get back home and is feeling better. We'll start from our current schedule on new dates yet to be updated as soon as we can. Please keep Kim in your thoughts and prayers over the next few days, and know that we appreciate the love and support that our regular listeners have offered us over these past three years.

Because I can do nothing else, i'm going to have dinner, and maybe watch the Tony Awards or a DVD or something..anything I can do to keep my mind off the fact that Kim is not here by my side tonight will be a good thing…as all of you who listen to the show know…we make each other possible, and these alone times are very hard on both of us…

Thanks for your time, everyone!
