The Kim Report – June 9 2009

Well, here we are, it's 10:45 PM on Tuesday, June 9, and I wanted to catch everyone up on what's going on…

It's not the best, taken with my cellphone at my insistance, because I felt she needed to let her public know what is going on…

She had a CT scan last night, and is still in a lot of pain and is still vomiting quite a bit, though it has slowed a bit. She'll be mortified that I said that, but like I said, she has to let people know what's going on.

The CT was inconclusive, so tonight or tomorrow, they were going to do two more MRI scans, one of her liver area, and one of her chest area, because they spotted some possible areas of interest in the regular scan.

She is taking it like a trooper, though. She's not giving the nice nurses at Mass Gen any problem, she's keeping things down longer, and I was actually stunned that she was finally watching TV today, which she hasn't been doing since being admitted late Sunday afternoon. So she's in better spirits, and that's always good for the road to getting well.

We've been dealing with this problem for 14 months now, and still no source of the problem has been found. We are hoping and praying that this stay will be different, that they will be able to pinpoint whatever has been causing these episodes since last April. Here's hoping for the best.

Kim has been buoyed by your thoughts and well wishes, and so please keep them coming in. She's not online at the moment, but I keep relaying who's written and who's wished her well.  Here's hoping that you will keep her in your thoughts and prayers and give us both strength to deal with whatever fate may deal us…Kim is a fighter and will not let this keep her down for long…
