AWARDS NEWS: San Fran sticks with “Hurt Locker”, but also awards several surprises

The San Francisco Film Critics have announced their 2009 year end awards. Of note, they broke away from the usual choice for supporting actor, naming Christopher McKay of Me And Orson Welles in that catagory, and gave Coraline its first win for Best Animated film. They also recognized "Anvil! The Story Of Anvil" as best documentary.

Personally, I love the fact that they gave one of this year's best (and often overlooked) films, the animated wonder Sita Sings The Blues, a special citation (whatever that means).
