AWARDS SEASON: Boston critics name “The Social Network” best picture, also show some love for local-set films
The Boston Society of Film Critics (of which we are NOT members…:HMMPH::) have chosen The Social Network as best picture this year. The film also captured Best Director for David Fincher, Best Screenplay for Aaron Sorkin, Best Use of Music in A Film for Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and Best Actor for Jesse Eisenburg.
Toy Story 3 won Best Animated film, while the offbeat doc Marwencol captured Best Documentary.
To be blunt, however, to name Juliette Lewis as Supporting Actress for Conviction is a travesty; while her performance is excellent, she's in the film for less than ten minutes. What a crock…
